Symptom:
During the drying process, the surface of the primer is polished or otherwise treated due to shrinkage of the paint film.
cause
1. The surface treatment method of the primer layer is improper, the sandpaper is too thick, the sanding is uneven, and the filling is insufficient.
2. The topcoat is sprayed with a topcoat layer without sufficient hardening.
3. The thickness of the paint film is not enough, or the drying speed is too slow.
4. The paint is not fully mixed and the type of diluent used is incorrect or of poor quality.
Precaution
1. Use sandpaper of appropriate fineness, fill the surface of the sandpaper with deep ash, and smooth the surface.
2. The film thickness should be appropriate and the drying conditions should be correct.
3. Wait until the coating is completely hardened before applying the topcoat.
4. Use only the recommended diluent from the manufacturer to mix the paint thoroughly.
Repair method
1. If the sandpaper marks are slight, the defect area can be smoothed and then polished.
2. If the sandpaper marks are serious, the paint film should be polished until the original sandpaper marks are removed, and then sprayed again.
